Elmo

Fact- Elmo, from Sesame Street, is the only non-human to have testified before Congress. He spoke on behalf of funding for music research and funding in education.

His street is in New York, but Elmo has traveled around the world. His 2002 visit to Capitol Hill was a first for a couple reasons: He was the only non-human ever to testify before Congress, and he wore clothes (a suit, in fact) for the occasion. Elmo appeared before the Education Appropriations Subcommittee to argue for funding for music research and instruments. Though I wasn't really nervous, I was glad to be under the table — this was Congress, after all, writes Clash in his autobiography. The Beatles

Fact- You cannot purchase or legally download any of The Beatles' songs in a mp3 format. You can illegally download it or rip a CD you already own.

Further Info- The remaining Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney claims the blame lies with the record company EMI. http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/music/newsid_10110000/newsid_10116600/10116607.stm

Behind the Scenes- I was listening to the radio the other day and The Beatles were mentioned. And I suddenly realized that you couldn't buy any other their songs on itunes. You can, however, purchase Beatles songs performed by any number of tribute and cover bands.
